TMD was appointed to act as the funder’s project monitoring surveyor for the demolition and redevelopment of the site to create a new student accommodation block, including class rooms and offices.

The original furniture store was demolished, and the basement excavated to create the additional floor area and terrace. The comer plot with restricted access was a challenging construction project but completed successfully and BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating achieved.

TMD assisted with the preparation of the legal documentation, agreed the outline scope of works and attended all progress meetings, including snagging inspections, together with the funding draw downs.
