TMD was instructed to act in a multidisciplinary capacity in the design, procurement and implementation of a project to refurbish and convert an existing building in Great Portland Street into an IVF clinic for a private client.

The works involved the complete refitting of the building after substantial structural alterations on a confined site.

The clinic provides consultation rooms, a positively pressurised HEPA filtered laboratory, embryo transfer rooms, a fully equipped operating theatre and a recovery ward to current DOH design guidelines for CQC compliance.

TMD undertook the technical design as well as acting as lead consultant, project manager and contract administrator, in concert with Hoare Lea as MEP consultants and Gleeds as Quantity Surveyors.
