ABOUT:

Alistair graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2007. He qualified as a Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) in 2012 and was elected a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS) in 2021.

He joined TMD as a Director in 2026, bringing over 18 years’ experience across a broad range of commercial and residential property. His previous roles include National Head of Dilapidations at a national firm of consultants, as well as leading the London Building Consultancy team within a large multidisciplinary practice.

Alistair is an RICS APC Mentor and Assessor for Building Surveying within the London region. He also contributed to the RICS Guidance Note working party for the first edition of Planned Preventative Maintenance.

A regular guest speaker, Alistair most recently delivered a keynote at the RICS Dilapidations Conference. He also leads client pitches, bids and training sessions, and has provided guest lectures at Nottingham Trent University and the University of Reading on topics including technical due diligence, dilapidations, party wall matters and building pathology. In addition, he serves on the Industry Advisory Board for the School of the Built Environment and Architecture at London South Bank University.
